CAIB Exam Coming Up in September – prep now with ILScorp Courses

September 17, 2014 is the next scheduled CAIB exam.  ILScorp is pleased to offer a variety of ways to help you prepare to write the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker exam, online, in the comfort of your own home or anywhere you have an internet connection.

Our interactive, online, CAIB Exam Preparation Video courses combine the dynamic instruction of Todd Hochban with the ease and convenience of online learning. Each course contains streaming video, and are divided into easy-to-manage chapters. Each chapter includes 10-20 video clips of the instructor, along with easy to read text. Numerous exercises and mock exams help to reinforce knowledge retention.

Complete the course anytime on your schedule, or if you need a little structure, register for the upcoming Virtual Classroom program and complete the exam prep course in only four weeks, with added support from ILScorp. The Virtual Classroom runs from July 21 – August 15, and now you can save $100 off the regular $550 cost of the program, using the promo code SUMMERSTART

Benefits of the Virtual Classroom include:

  • A Daily Assisted Learning calendar, which breaks the CAIB courses down into easy to manage daily study modules.
  • The online CAIB video course are like having your own private tutor with the added benefit of being able to pause, rewind and review at the touch of a button. Unlike a live classroom, students can move through the material at their own pace ensuring that they understand key concepts before moving on to new sections.
  • Have a question, ask the instructor! Online threaded discussions allow students to post questions, review answers, and really think about what they’re learning.
  • Weekly practice exams simulate a real-exam environment so students are comfortable with the process.
  • Review videos that summarize material covered. An extra study tool that students can come back to again and again.
  • Live customer support throughout the program – no telephone trees or unanswered emails.

Options are also available for one-week live immersion courses in Vancouver. Instructor Todd Hochban highly recommends using the CAIB textbook in conjunction with the ILScorp CAIB Programs to thoroughly learn the material. Please note ILScorp does not sell CAIB text books, but they can be purchased through your provincial brokers association. Contact your association directly for more information. Note: Students must register with their insurance council to write the CAIB examinations – exam registration deadlines vary, so be sure to check with your provincial council. First Day of Summer!

First Day of Summer!

Saturday June 21, is the 2014 Summer Solstice!
What does this mean?

Well it’s the day with the most hours of sunlight during the entire year, and the official start of summer!

So how do you plan to celebrate summer?

Light a bonfire? The solstice day was traditionally celebrated by dancing around the bonfires.

Plant a seed or a tree? Traditionally, to the farmer, the solstice is the midpoint of the growing season, halfway between planting and harvesting, and an occasion for celebration.

Start a new career?  It may be the longest day of the year, but you can be on your way to a new career in a very short amount of time!

This summer start your new career in the insurance industry and become Life Licensed with ILScorp’s Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) exam preparation course.

What will you learn with the LLQP exam preparation course?

Upon successful completion of the LLQP Program, you will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the various components that make up the insurance industry, including the evolution and distribution of insurance products.
  2. Compare and analyze the application of various individual income replacement products including disability, accident and sickness, and other insurance products.
  3. Explain the various types of investment products, including the major classes of securities, and describe how they compare to insurance investments. As well, you will be able to describe basic investment strategies, terms and concepts and be able to apply them while analyzing and fulfilling your clients’ needs and objectives.
  4. Analyze the benefits of group insurance and other various accident and sickness coverage and how they meet personal and business needs of your clients.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of the corporate types of insurance companies, how financial ratings are determined and the importance of ratings to consumers, agents and regulators.
  6. Describe the importance of underwriting (the evaluation of risk) and the key role that the field underwriter plays.
  7. Demonstrate an understanding of the process involved in policy issue and explain policy components and provisions as well as the importance of proper policy delivery.
  8. Analyze the principles and techniques of risk management and how they apply to insurance. In addition, you will identify their role in diminishing or eliminating risk exposures.
  9. Describe the legal issues and regulations related to life insurance products and their distribution; describe the ways in which the criminal code impacts on agent conduct in the areas of misrepresentation, theft and forgery.
  10. Describe the sections of the provincial acts and regulations that govern the conduct of agents and the distribution of insurance.
  11. Learn how to conduct yourself in a professional manner.

You will have 3 months of unlimited access to the course, where you can pause, rewind and review as many times as you need, until you feel you fully understand the material.  The course also includes an online mock exam to help you prepare.

Right now, the LLQP course is only $89.00, (regular price $309.95) so go ahead take the first step in starting your new career this summer! But just like the days following the summer solstice are shorter, this $89.00 price won’t last long.

$89 offer expires on July 14, 2014.
